Reading checks are free and unlimited for ReadBank Classics and for 1,100+ classics from Project Gutenberg. For other books, you approve the reading on the free plan, and Pro or Premium add AI reading checks.
Yes. Add your child, choose “On their own device,” and enter the short code (or scan the QR) on their device. A child on their own device only ever sees the kid side. A child without a device can use yours in Kid Mode with their PIN, and a PIN is needed to switch back to the parent view.
Add it as an In Person book and ReadBank times the reading, with an optional page count. On the free plan you approve the reading yourself. With Pro or Premium, an AI reading check can confirm it automatically.
Optionally. On iPhone you can choose distracting apps to shield while your child is in Kid Mode, using Apple’s Screen Time. It needs Apple’s Screen Time permission, and you can skip it entirely.
